10年以上前、anythingのCDを購入。MCA移籍後、パンクというよりゴシック調プログレのような曲調（Jon Kellyのプロデュースの影響か）になり、私には心地よく響くようになった。The Portrait ではピアノのメロディがどこか湖畔で寛いでいるかのよう。In Dulce Decorum の静かに始まり途中から盛り上がる曲の流れがゾクゾクする。Alone Again Or のマカロニウェスタン風がまたちょっと変化があって面白い。ニック・ロウのプロデュースの頃から変化してきたのは「進化」であって、それが今尚ダムドがパンクロックバンドの中で継続して活動できている理由なのかと感じている。

とにかく①曲目から②曲目へと間髪入れずになだれ込む瞬間ったらよ！！！最高のｴｸｽﾀｼｰ。ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ通して、そこ退けそこ退けと言わんばかりに、一直線に突っ走る。ｷﾞﾀｰは意外にﾒﾀﾘｯｸで金属的。
