Freedom draws together all of Clancy's major works as a producer during a time when he was at the height of his hit making powers and a major force on the Reggae scene, rivaling the likes of Lee Perry, Duke Reid and Bunny Lee. Included are numerous major Jamaican hits, many of which were pivotal in shaping the sound of Reggae. The set is annotated by respected music historian, David Katz and presents the first proper anthology of the producers' work, which includes some of the most important Rocksteady and Reggae recordings of the late 60's and early 70's.
