アイリッシュ・トラッドの老舗が91年に発表したキャロル集。エルヴィス・コステロ、マリアンヌ・フェイスフル、ジャクソン・ブラウン、リッキー・リー・ジョーンズ、ケイト＆アンナ・マクギャリルにフランス人カウンター・テノールも参加。特にマクギャリル姉妹は適役で、彼女達のちょっとくぐもった声質が曲調にぴったり。荘厳で、それでいて庶民的な曲あり、大学の名門コーラス部が歌っているような曲あり、パブで大セッション大会が繰り広げられているような曲あり･･･本当、アイルランド音楽って楽しいね。
