    オリジナルジャケットでの発売。50分以上のおそいテンポで、硬質なソロと壮大な 響きのオケがぶつかり合う趣は、ギレリスとヨッフムの有名なレコードに少し似ている。ワイセンベルクは幾分ジュリーニとは違和感があるのだが、マエストロの遅く巨大なテンポに付き合い、華麗なテクニックとクールな情念でガチンコ横綱相撲を繰り広げる。第一楽章の中間部は特に聴きもので、興奮のあまり、ジュリーニが第一楽章のクライマックスでうなり声を上げるほどだ。70年代のＥＭＩ録音は幾分ひずみが目立つのが難点だが、改善されたのだろうか。ムーティーとも共演した音源がフランスＥＭＩから出たセットに入っていたはずで、それもぜひＣＤにしてほしい。

    ２曲のトリオと op.120-2 がこの人の魅力と合っていると思います。op.78 は分の悪さ（第１楽章の編曲上の扱い）を抜きに聴けば充実したものです。 P.S. もう１枚（Onyx 4054）のレビューに訂正をひとつ：正しくはヴィオラ版 op.115 になります、申し訳ありません。
