発売がから30年以上経って、レコーディング技術も格段に進歩しているのにこのアルバム以上にいい音を積み重ねたアルバムはそれほどありません。逆にノーコンピューター、ノーシンセサイザーだからこそ透き通った人間の奏でる音を集めることが出来たのでしょう。ジャケットデザインも見事ですし、アナログ盤のレコードカバーまでもが芸術の域でした。

重ねて練り上げてサウンドを仕上げる彼らのファーストです。当時12トラックでこれだけの厚みを作り上げたとは信じられません。まだ中学生だった頃聞き進めるに従って、宇宙に投げ出されて宇宙船と共に疾走していく錯覚を覚えました。「Rock’n’roll Band」は彼らのライブのオープニング曲の定番です。
