内容は素晴らしく愛聴盤ですが、当地でのライヴを体験した身としては、「スティービーはともかく、エリックがやりたかったのはこんな音楽なのかな？」と違和感がありました。後日のアメリカ公演での騒ぎを聞き、自然消滅の流れを思い返すと、エリックがかわいそうです。あの頃は、スウェーデンやデンマークまでＣｒｅａｍ、ＣＳＮＹ，Ｚeppが来てくれて良い時代でした。

BLIND FAITHはSTEVE WINWOODが全て仕切ったアルバムで、Eric Claptonのアルバムと考えるのは間違い。Rick Gretch参加以前の曲はベースまで弾いています。Eric Claptonはセカンドアルバムを途中で放り出して、Delaney＆Bonnieに参加したのです。 Steveのオルガン、ベースも最高で、ギターのセンスもSteve Winwoodの方が優っていると断言できます。
