    私も３月と４月が判別できず、何種類か安いＣＤを持っていますが、音質的にはお風呂場みたいなボワ〜ンとした物がほとんどです。この平林復刻は、音がしかっりと引き締まっており、Ｇｏｔｔでのティンパニの迫力も見事です。フルヴェンの第９のなかでも、バイロイト盤に負けない鬼気迫る演奏で、しかも造詣の崩れが少なく合唱の素晴らしさもあって個人的には好きな盤です。戦時中によくこんな音が録れたと思ったら、テープが７８ｃｍ/sと戦後よりもスペックが高かったと知ってなるほどと感心しました。

    私の聞いた話では、ト短調の冒頭のテンポに試行錯誤していたトスカニーニがフルヴェンの演奏を聴いて「これだ！」と開眼したというのですが、諸説あるようですね。ト短調は、ＥＭＩ盤よりも実存感のある音ですが、さすがにこれだけ針音があると身を入れて聴き通すのが難儀です。逆に、７番はＬＰ時代にＳＰ復刻のＧＲシリーズで愛聴していたので、針音がしないと聴いた気がしません。ＬＰよりも針音が少なめで、音割れもなくクリスタルピックアップの電蓄で擦り切れるまで聴いた音とは比べ物になりません。低音もこんなにも豊かだったのかと感動も改たにしました。
