アニメーション映画のサウンドトラックとし...

アニメーション映画のサウンドトラックとして1969年1月に発売され、ビートルズ･オリジナル曲（(1)～(6)）とジョージ・マーティンが作曲した映画のスコア（(7)～(13)）で構成されてます。オリジナルには、「イエロー・サブマリン」はじめ「オール・トゥゲザー・ナウ」「愛こそはすべて」が入っていますが、ビートルズのオリジナル・アルバムでは1番聴いてないなぁ（特にB面）。

このアルバムはヘイ・ブルドッグが最高です。これレディ・マドンナのB面、もしくはダブルA面で良かったのに。もしくは、ジ・インナーライトを外してジョージのどちらかの曲を入れるか……。B面は僕も滅多に聞きませんが、たまにBGM的に聞くとこれはこれでなかなか面白いです。なんにせよ、ヘイ・ブルドッグはビートルズの最高の曲の内の一曲と言って構わないと思います。

イエローサブマリンは、オリジナルアルバムの中で唯一ヒットチャートでNO１にならなかったアルバムです。（全英３位、全米２位）でも、リアルタイムで考えると、それも仕方ないよね。だって新曲は４曲だけだし、それだけに２０００円も出せるかって言われればちょっと難しい。ぼくも２年前に安くなっていたので買いました。しかし４曲はすべてとてもいいです。ここの曲だけよく聴いています。とくにジョージのイッツ・オール・トゥー・マッチがお気に入りです。今として見れば、この４曲のためだけに買うのも有りかと思います。ただ、G・マーティンのインストゥメンタルの部分は全く聴かない。
