Beatles の1967 - 1970年のメジャーな曲を集めた通称「青盤」。 アルバム「サージェント・ペパーズ・ロンリー・ハーツ・クラブ・バンド」以降から解散までの、ライブをやらないビートルズのベスト盤。 「ヘイ・ジュード」はたしかシングルだけだから、このアルバムはわりと聴きやすい上に重宝します。 ただオリジナルで揃えたから、この青盤も買わずじまいでした。 のちにレンタルで借りて、よくクルマの運転中に聴いてました

初めて買ったビートルズのアルバム(レコード盤）。まずはこれを聴けと兄貴に初めて買って貰った。小学校5年生（だったと思う）。洋楽に目覚めた最初のアルバム。自分の中では記念碑的なアルバム。

女の子との恋をテーマにした楽曲の割合が減っていく、後期のベスト盤です。非常にお得な感じがする1枚目と、赤盤には(自作曲どころか)ボーカル曲が一曲も収録されなかったGeorgeが存在感を示している2枚目、そんな印象です。Taxmanくらい収録してもよかった気もしますが笑
