84年発表の1st。これを聴けば Bathory がブラックメタルの祖とされている所以がわかります。Venom 由来のノイジーな音質、曲によって音質レベルが異なるなどといったアンダーグラウンドの要素盛り沢山の一枚です。それに、なんといってもリフがカッコいい。後のブラックメタルのトレモロ・リフに通じる感じで最高です。勿論、スラッシャーの方も必聴。

かなり素晴らしいアルバムだと思っています。当時、何度聞いたか判りません。不穏＞暴虐　なアルバムです。デローンとした、暗雲垂れ込める感じの、禍禍しい雰囲気が出てます。割と湿っぽい。全然技巧派でもないし、音だって勿論よくないし、今時こんなん流行らないと思うけど... 今聞いてもやっぱり素晴らしいアルバムだと思います。
