Product Description

"Ichigo Ichie", from which this album takes its name, is a unique four-string instrument, a hybrid between guitar and ukulele, invented by folk veteran Begin. They have been exploring an original mix of traditional Okinawa music and popular folk music, which results in an accessible melodic blues. On the album 'Ichigo Ichie', the Okinawa-born trio revisit their early hits such as 'Namida Soso', 'Koishikute' and 'Koeno Omamori Kudasai' and serve them with new arrangements. The tender and soothing tone of the instrument stands out well on the familiar songs, setting up laid-back and relaxed mood. A welcome return from one of most valuable players in Japanese pop music.

本当にビギンはいいなぁ。こんな音楽がある国に生まれて来て良かった。「島人ぬ宝」は大好きな唄だけど、このアルバムのヴァージョンは涙が出ます。世代を問わず、みんなに聞いて欲しい！
