Remastered digipak reissue of 1969 album. It is believed by many that Jobim's best work as a leader was done during his relatively short sojourn on Frank Sinatra's Reprise label. The third offering for the label led to his arranger and conductor Claus Ogerman becoming somewhat a legend when it comes to orchestral writing for Bossa Nova compositions.

クールなアレンジのアルバム、波、潮流と同路線の音作りで、ジョビンのヴォーカルは相変わらずの下手上手。収録時間が短いので、他のアルバムとで、2LP1CDとして再発売しても良かったのでは？

ジョビン/オガーマンの作品は全部買っている。本作はこのコンビのものとして最も哀愁に満ちたアルバムとなっている。行ったこともないがリオ・デ・ジャネイロの風物を回顧的に表現しているかのようだ。ここに収録された、海辺のテラスやサーフボード、ジンガロなどはまるで「音画」のように眼前にけだるく、どこかさびしいイパネマの夕べを描き出す。
