アンダーソン作品をトップレベルのオーケストラが良い音で録音した盤は非常に少ない。その中で、この１枚をベストとして推す。サービス精神旺盛な指揮者と楽団である、演奏に失望することはありえないと保証する。録音も鮮明だ。同作曲家のマニアックなファンの方は、同じ指揮者がＮＡＸＯＳに全曲録音を進行中なので、そちらを収集すべきだろう。

ルロイ・アンダーソンの作品をまとまって聴ける貴重なアルバムです。アンダーソンの作品は楽しくて、時には美しく綺麗なメロディを持っているため、気軽に聴けます。このCDでは、今や人気のスラットキンが、セントルイス交響楽団を指揮して録音した物で、その仕上がりは一級品です。 1993年の録音で、音質が良い事もうれしいです。
