アリスクーパーの世界が開花したアルバム。この時代のアリスのアルバムは名盤が多い!単なるロックじゃない、楽曲と歌詞で不気味な味付けを施したアリスの本領が発揮された初めてのアルバムじゃないかな。

「シンプルなロックンロール」と紹介されることの多いアルバムだが、赤ちゃんの鳴き声などの効果音やテープの逆回しなどのギミックも効果的に使われた、非常にシアトリカルな作品。一般的には次々作「Billion Dollar Babies」が代表作とされるが、私は本作と次作「School’s Out」が彼らの最高作であると、今でも思っている。

ｱﾘｽ･ｸｰﾊﾟｰらしさが色濃くでたｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ。1曲目の「UNDER MY WHEELS」は今も語り継がれる名曲だ。
