　１２月の初めになると聴きたくなるのが、このアルバムのタイトル・ナンバーです。　大ヒットした「Year Of The Cat」の弟分のような持つ大作で、ゆったりとした流れの曲調の中にも、途中の生ギターからサックスへと引き継がれていく展開は、ウェットでセンチメンタルな兄貴を彷彿とさせるスケール感があり、シングル・エディット版では味わえない、壮大な大河ドラマを楽しめます。　前作に比べると、「わが命つきるとも」や「ヴェルサイユ宮殿」など、かつての彼の世界観を音楽にしたようなヨーロッパ中世の匂いのする作品が目立ちますが、アルバム・ジャケットとシンクロする乾いた砂漠を想わせる「Timeless Skies」や、Carol King の「Jazzman」のような「ラジオを聴いて」といったラフ・スケッチのような作品も収められていて、幅広で奥行きも感じさせるアルバムに仕上げられています。　夕映えが似合うラストの「１日の終わり」を聴きながら、時空を超えたドラマチックな時間旅行は幕を閉じるのです。

Year of the cat, Time Passagesなどの代表曲は漏れなく収録されているので良いと思います。オリジナルのアルバムが意外に多いので特に熱心なファンではなくシングルヒットした曲だけ聴きたい私のようなタイプには使い勝手が良いCDです。私が購入したCDもコピーコントロールではなくPCで取り込めました。
