Afrorockerz

Afrorockerz is putting a new face on the classic sound of Afrobeat music. This adventurous fusion features equal measures of funk, blues, rock and African pop, deftly mixing each genre into a unique sound that unites indigenous African music with European club culture. Guitars and strings give the music a bit of groove, while raw, earthy rhythms and keyboards dress up the production with a groovy, trance element. Vocalists Allonymous and Emma Lamadji play off each other perfectly, with Allonymous' more hip-hop/funk flavored vocals meshing with Lamadji's crisp, passionate singing. Of note is the high energy drive of Looking for Change and the soukous-edged I Was Blind.
