55年の生涯を、秘蔵写真と関係者の証言をもとに描き出す追悼本。今となっては貴重な、20代当時の本人への雑誌インタビューも多数収録されており、資料的価値も高い。長年のファンはもちろん、これまでファンでなかったものの、告別式でのあの最後の肉声テープに心を揺さぶられ関心を持ったという方にも、この機会に本書を通じて彼女の魅力に是非触れていただきたい。
