はじめて聴きましたが単に美メロというだけでなくビート感や重み、曲の幅もあってイイですね。最近美メロという言葉に弱く店頭で聴いて惹かれたWAGNER LOVEのｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ紹介を見ていたらSNOWPATROLとBLACKROOMが出ていて３枚購入した次第です。美メロの括りだったのか？これが一番ロックっぽい印象かな。本当に美メロ！と思ったのはBLACKROOMでした。あくまでも個人的主観です…。

'03年発表｡ﾍﾞﾙﾌｧｽﾄ出身ながらｸﾞﾗｽｺﾞｰを拠点に活動を続け､ﾚｲﾝﾃﾞｨｱ･ｾｸｼｮﾝへの参加でも注目を浴びた彼らが､ﾒｼﾞｬｰ移籍｡ﾒﾝﾊﾞｰを4人に拡大し､03年秋にｲｷﾞﾘｽでﾘﾘｰｽされた3rdｱﾙﾊﾞﾑでいよいよ世界進出に打って出た｡ｲﾝﾃﾞｨｰ･ｷﾞﾀｰ･ﾊﾞﾝﾄﾞっぽさを払拭して大きな飛躍を果たしたことが音から伝わってくるようだが､いきなりﾒｼﾞｬｰっぽくなっちゃったというわけではない｡例えば全英大ﾋｯﾄとなった｢ﾗﾝ｣は､ｺｰﾙﾄﾞﾌﾟﾚｲの｢ｲｴﾛｰ｣のように(実際雰囲気ちょっと似てるんですが)ｼﾞｬﾝﾙを超えて万人を動かさずにはおかない歌｡そういうｷﾗｰ･ｿﾝｸﾞがいくつもあることが頼もしい｡ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑがﾛｯｸﾝﾛｰﾙありのﾊﾞﾗｰﾄﾞありのと起伏に富んでいるのも好ましいんだけど､豪快に飛ばす感じの曲ではかえって外しきれない
