All The Lost Souls -
前の方が仰っているように、一枚目と比べると所謂即効性のある一曲が少ない為か、前作と比べ評価が低い様子だが個人的には本作の方が比べものにならないくらい素晴らしい…ある作品が高い評価を受けると、次の作品が過小評価されるのが世の常だとは承知の上で。曲単位の集まりである印象を否めない前作に対し、一枚のアルバムとして統一感がある、ひとつの作品として。また某誌の「内戦」の影が薄れたというのは的外れだと断言する、歌詞を読めば戦い・争いのイメージが多く出る。映画でも本でも音楽でも滅多に涙は出ない私だが、ある朝「アニー」で思わず涙ぐんだ、無駄な部分が全くないのも本作のみの魅力だと思う。私の２００７年のベストレコード（パティ・スミスの「トゥエルヴ」が次、かな。あの年は良いレコードが多かった）。７０分以上もあり、時にちょっとだれるアルバムが多い時代、４０分で終わらせる潔さは前作・本作共通の魅力である。次のアルバムが本当に楽しみ。闇の中でこそ星、希望はよりその輝きを増す、そんな一枚。
