アルバム発表から早いもので7年！2ndアルバムも出すには出したがこのアルバムほど世界的にはヒットせず、元来（Vo）のスコットが、だらしないヤツなので結局バンドを去って現在は空中分解に近い状態の上に国内盤がよもやの廃盤ですか？？（残念）スコットの人間性を抜きにしてこのバンドが始動した当初はデビュー当時のガンズには敵わないまでもある種のカリスマ性を持っており、このアルバムに収録されている楽曲群もライヴでたたき上げた歴戦のミュージシャンが作り上げただけあって素晴らしい楽曲が数多く見られ充実した内容に仕上がっている。個人的見解だがバンドリーダーである「スラッシュ」はバンドの一部となってこそ輝きを放つギタリストではないかと思う？確かに「スネイクピット」名義やソロ名義で出したアルバムは彼らしい好盤だが、スラッシュには是非、このバンドに心血を注いでもらいたい！！（Vo）の人選さえ間違えなければ次回作はとんでもないアルバムを発表してくれそうな予感がする！！！！！

神のような存在のバンドが出て来なくなってかなり経つが、（ニルヴァーナが最後？？）VELVET REVOLVERはメンバーがメンバーだけに、かなりそれに近いバンドだ（もしくは、だった？）。 ガンズは、全盛期は、アクセルのほうにばかり目が行っていたが、他のメンバーがロックだったからかっこよかったんだな〜と今は思います。 （正直、アクセル一人のガンズなど全く興味ございません） で、このアルバムですが、“発売日当日に、レコードショップに（CD?）走って行って即購入したい！”と久々に思わせてくれるようなもの。 ボンジョヴィの（ロックでもタイプは違うが）CRUSH以来の最高のロックアルバムの一つ。 このアルバムは、良質のクラシック音楽の演奏のCDと同じような重みを持つ。 要は、何度聴いても飽きない。 良質のクラシック＝良質のロック、という結論に正直びっくり！！ スラッシュ、ダフ、マット、スコット．．とほんとに素晴らしいんですが、でも、実はデイブのバッキングもかなりかっこいい〜です。
