Best known for his tenure fronting the Scottish pop revivalists Orange Juice as well as his international solo hit A Girl Like You, singer Edwyn Collins was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1959. In 1976, he formed the Nu-Sonics, who resurfaced three years later as Orange Juice; the leading proponent of the Glasgow neo-pop scene, the band earned a devoted cult following but little commercial success

Home Again-
ここ数作と比べて、実験的な音作りはだいぶ控えめ。でも、アレンジはシンプルながら十分に練られていて、何よりも歌心が溢れている。Gorgeous George以来の佳作だと思う。Loyd ColeのAntidepressantと並べて聴きたい１枚。

Doctor Syntax -
前作もそうだけど本作もやりたい放第やってるな〜ってかんじ。 遊び心満載な分 ｿﾛ作初期にみられた唄心はほとんど感じられませんでした。Roddy Frameの素朴な作品Surfを聴いた後だったので余計にそう感じたのかも...。
