コレは今聞いてもスゴイねぇ。個人的に１３歳だった１９８６年からリアルタイムで全米ミュージックシーンのムーヴメントを目の当たりにし続けているが、コレほどジャンルの枠内で見てもカリスマ的なアルバムは非常に珍しい。ドレー本人が２０年前から裏方職人に徹している為、より作品の貴重さに重みが増している。この作品は実際に全米でもかなり売れた。確かアルバムセールスが当時でも全米のみで６００万枚を突破してた記憶がある。大ヒットしたシングルは無かったけど中ヒットのシングルは３，４曲程あった。アルバム単体のセールスだけで見ると５０セントの全盛期やネリーの全盛期とほぼ同等以上の規模を記録した大傑作だ。２０年以上前のＮ.Ｗ.Ａから現在に至るギャングスタの冠を背負い続けている創始者自身が作ったアルバムだから当たり前かもしれないが・・・。しかし残念ながらこのアルバムを越えるヒネリとドスの効いたヒップホップアルバムは今現在も他には全く見当たらない。もう１０年以上たつのに新作はいつになったら出るのやら・・・。（噂ばかり）
