Live At Red Rocks-
U２は、デヴュー盤から聴いているが、最も好きなのは、この若いバンドが、今も変わらぬスピリットを、引っさげて挑んだ若々しい、躍動感一杯のこのライヴ。｢Under a Blood Red Sky｣も、愛聴盤ですが、清々しく力一杯プレイする姿は感動的。沢山ライヴビデオを出していて、すっかり、スタジアムロックとなった彼らの原点。Zoo TV Tour も凄いが、３０年経ってもやり続けている彼らは、必然。この熱いボノの歌声、演奏も荒荒しいが、この時期の完璧な全力ライヴ。もう、デヴューしてから３０年以上経つ。これからも、難しい所に来るだろうが、このスピリット持ち続けて、私達を、鼓舞して欲しい。

30年以上のキャリアを誇るアイリッシュ.バンドの大御所の初期の名作！！ 本作は83年に発表された3rdアルバムだが80年のデビュー作「ボーイ」81年の2nd「アイリッシュ.オクトーバー」この3作は掛け値無しの名盤である！ デビュー作より本作までの3作品のプロデュースを「スティーブ.リリィホワイト」が手掛けておりレコーディングも彼等の故郷アイルランド（ダブリン）のウィンドミル.レーンにて行われている。当方は勝手にこの3作品を「U2 トリロジー（三部作）」と呼んでおり「U2」初心者にはまず、この3作品から手にとって頂きたい！！デビュー作より歌詞もメッセージ色のカラーが強い楽曲が多く、当時はまだ続いていた彼等の故郷の「アイルランド紛争」や政治のあり方に対する不満がシニカルな歌詞に置き換えられ、母国をはじめ欧米でも高い評価を獲得する形となる！！本作の特筆すべき点は（g）エッジの個性的なギタープレイにも注目して頂きたい！！激しさの中にも母国アイルランドの壮大で乾いた冷たい風が吹き抜ける大地を思わせるスケール感すら感じるギタープレイは格別である。アイリッシュ.ロックの傑作であると断言したい！！！
