Metal Machine Music -
否定的な意見があることは理解できる。「Metal Machine Music」と銘打たれてはいるが、これは「ミュージック」ではない。だから、「ミュージック」として聴けば、最低評価になるのは当然である。 ただ、人間には感情とか情動とかがあって、なんとなくむしゃくしゃしたり、どんなに「いい音楽」「好きな曲」でも「今はこれ、聴きたくない」という気分の時があったりする。そういう気分をリセットするには最適だ。いわゆる「毒気を抜かれる」というやつかもしれないが、私は年に数回、そういう聴き方をしている。 発表から３７年。入手してから３４年。今もその「効能」は有効だ。

たとえばニール・ヤングの1stが、バッファローとソロでの成功（およびCSNY）と比較されることによってあまり評価が高くないのと同じように、このアルバムもルーの過渡期としてあまり評価されていないですよね。否、先のヤング氏の作品同様、アレンジや音処理は不完全さがみられるものの、傑物デスゾ！是非ご一聴を。
