Lawyers In Love -
ジャクソン・ブラウンのアルバムの中でも評価の低い位置づけと思われている’８３年にリリースされた７枚目のアルバム。 しかし！個人的には今でもこのアルバムが大好きです。 ＃１(全米１３位)、＃５(２５位)、＃８(４５位)とヒット曲があり、アルバムも全米８位、スウェーデンでは３位を記録した。 他にも決してベスト盤には収録されないだろうと思う、＃４、＃６、＃７などもこの頃しか聴くことが出来ないような楽曲でイイ！ ３５分２５秒があっという間に終わってしまう。。

Next Voice You Hear -
国内盤はUSと違った選曲ですね。ま、売れた曲が違うので当たりまえですが。しかし、名曲の「ステイ」を「ロード・アウト」と切り離して収録している日本側のディレクターのセンスを疑います。発売当時アメリカで買っていたので入ってなかったのですが。「ステイ」を入れるなら「ロード・アウト」と一緒に入れないと意味がありません。多分歌われている歌詞・意味を理解していないからでは？JBは「ロード・アウト」でローディーやスタッフを労い、ツアーでの消耗や喜びを歌っています。その後の流れで、「でももう少しだけ演奏をさせてくれよ〜」って「ステイ」を歌う訳です。この流れは現在のステージでも歌われているハズです。「ユニオンやプロモーターは気にしないから、もう一曲歌わせて…」と訴えているのに。フェードインで不自然に入って来る「ステイ」だけは強烈に違和感があります。愛情の感じられない盤ですね。このタイトルを買うならＵＳ盤の方がお勧めです。 ＢＥＳＴ盤って愛の無いディレクターに捕まると最悪＝この盤、という見本の様なＣＤです。 歌詞の意味など関係ない、歌詞カード、解説が読めればＯＫって人は迷わず購入下さい。
