商品説明

MAIA is a very gifted singer from Port Elisabeth, South Africa who recorded a series of songs produced by Malvin Dino Vice for Good Sense Productions. She had success as a single artist in South Africa under her given name, Belinda Davids, and left South Africa to perform at various venues in Africa, Asia and Europe. She finished a tour with Johnny Gill before returning to reside in her hometown of Port Elisabeth. CHARLIE WILSON is a name that needs no introduction. The name rides on the fanfare of being the lead singer for the legendary R&B/Funk trio, THE GAP BAND. Charlie is enjoying soaring success as a solo artist, and is currently working on a new album. DEFRANTZ FORREST enjoyed a brief stint on Motown Records with For Lovers Only from 1994-1995. They were championed by the Temptations' Otis Williams and Melvin Franklin. Forrest later sang with Sly, Slick, & Wicked, the Cleveland group that relocated to L.A. (not the L.A.-based SSW who recorded for Bad Boys Records). JIMMY HAMILTON Jimmy Hamilton is the lead singer, keyboard player for the 1980's group known as Prime Time, formerly known as the Sai Whatt Band. The band recorded for The Total Experience Record Label. The band's biggest hit was a mid-tempo song titled I Owe It To Myself, this song made it's way to number 21 on Billboard's R&B chart in the fall of 1984. Jimmy's label mates the Gap Band on their Gap Band VII LP later covered this song. DeNITRA CHAMP has the pipes!!!! Boy, does this Los Angeles native have the pipes!!! Denitra spent most of her career providing backing vocals for other artist such as James Ingram and Patti LaBelle, as well as performing in Gospel plays around the country. However, her vocals are so strong and distinctive that it was clear that she would eventually move beyond a backup role. With a voice eerily similar to Aretha Franklin's, circa 1970, Champ was destined to be a Soul or Gospel soloist. She's been compared to 1970s Aretha Franklin for her entire music career. GARY BIAS Gary Bias has been the saxophonist with the Earth, Wind & Fire horns since 1987. He won a Grammy Award in 1987 in the Best Rhythm & Blues Song category for co-writing the song 'Sweet Love' with Anita Baker and Louis A. Johnson. In 1999 Bias released his first album as a leader, '2 B Free', on his own Thunderbop label. He is co-owner of a recording studio in San Bernardino, California, where he has been working on his second album on his off-time from Earth, Wind & Fire.
