商品説明

Uncle ILL, Detroit's next rap superstar began rapping at age 12 in Detroit, Michigan after seeing the movie Breakin'. Inspired from the emceeing in it, and the way the emcee battling was so on point. The very next day I went out to purchase the soundtrack to find out that the emcee who inspired me was named Ice-T. I started mimicking rappers until I soon started writing my own songs. Making his original hip hop music soon found him bumping heads and working with other Detroit notables like Kid Rock, Champtown, Eminem and more. After making a few recordings with Champtown, Uncle ILL linked up with rapper producer, Hush to form their own group called DaRuckus. Da Ruckus put out one album independently before being picked up by Federation Records. Federation Records released 2 singles: 'We Shine' with Eminem and 'We Came Here To Party' with Dale. The singles did well receiving airplay on many stations nationally, as well as getting coverage from media such as The Source, HipHopSite.com, Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, Chicago Reader, Metro Times, etc. Federation Records also released the groups second project, and EP entitled 'Episode 1' again claiming critical respect and impressive sales. Within the year, the label Federation Records broke up leaving Da Ruckus with out a label. The group continued recording demos, and decided solo albums would allow each his optimum creativity. Uncle ILL began constructing his first solo effort with producer Mad Chemist. Together the two created Ill's best music yet. Uncle ILL brought his newly recorded album to Silent Records CEO, Marc Kempf, who previously worked with Da Ruckus at Federation Records. 'When I heard the strength of Uncle ILL's songwriting and production' and his voice is better than ever, I knew this would be a hit', says Kempf. With advance copies leaking to radio, and a gigantic buzz forming around his numerous live show appearances through Michigan, Uncle ILL begins a new stage of his already impressive career. The album's 14 cuts created with a street vibe very much in the realm of MTV mainstays like Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule, etc. Tracks like 'Cho', 'Stress', 'Who's Your Uncle', or 'Y'all Know' will have each listener reciting the chorus by the end of the song. His tongue in cheek metaphors and similes as well as honed vocal abilities will key you in that this is no average newcomer. The bounce style of 'Keep On' lends well to detailing how money is made in his East-Detroit neighborhood 'We get it, split it, re-chip hin, then keep on re-flippin', until we see a million'. The album also features the MC talents of Hush (DaRuckus collaborator), Dale, Mz Korona, Undataka and Jasmine Williams. His label, Silent Records known for it's releases like Paradime, SUN, Artfull Dodgers, and more brings us yet another classic Detroit hip hop banger. Uncle ILL will work with Silent to gain national exposure for this album and with ever expanding distribution will begin seeking a major label deal.
