First time on DVD. Region 0 NTSC. Contains classic videos for 15 of Squeeze's 23 UK hit singles / the band have also had 14 UK hit albums. It would be hard to find a video collection with as many pop masterpieces and totally memorable gems. Squeeze absolutely dominated the English radio and indeed pop scene for much of the Eighties and were rarely not present in the UK Top 10. The talent of Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook as a writing partnership started in the seventies in groups playing under several different names such as Captain Trundlow's Sky Company or Skyco before settling on a parody and facetious tribute to the Velvet Underground oft-derided album.

Squeeze

スクイーズの素晴らしさはその類稀なポップセンスにある。ディフォード＆ティルブルックのソングライティングの基本は“ポップであること”だ。ポップとは何か？簡単に言ってしまえば誰もが口ずさめるメロディではないだろうか。スクイーズの音楽は不思議とアレンジへのこだわりというものを感じさせない。何故ならいつも真っ先にそのメロディの心地良さに耳を奪われてしまうから・・・。
