商品説明

The Rolling Stones 1978 tour of the USA in support of that years SOME GIRLS album is considered by fans to be one of their very best. The tour followed immediately on the release of the SOME GIRLS album and by the time the band arrived in Texas in mid-July the album had hit the No.1 spot on the US charts. The tour took a back to basics approach, with the band and their music very much at the forefront and little or no elaborate staging. Filmed at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas, on July 18th, 1978, this concert is typical of the tour with the Rolling Stones delivering a raw, energetic performance in front of a crowd who are clearly loving the show. Many of the tracks from SOME GIRLS are included in the live set with a sprinkling of Stones classics from earlier albums.

何でこんな凄いブツを今まで隠し持っていたのだろうか。最近の老獪で辛口なストーンズのビデオは、やっぱり完璧ではあっても元気がない。かといって昔のビデオは雑だし音質は悪いしで1回見たらもういいやってのが多いのだけど、これはイイ。信じられない音質と画質、そして何よりストーンズ自身が妖しいオーラ放ちまくり。パンクのお陰でパワーも復活、本当にゴージャスなロックンロール・ショウという感じ。私はロニーとキースの繰り出すリズムギターのコンビネーション（どっちがどっちか判らないようなアレ）が最高だと思ってるのだけど、まさにここで全開。ストーンズのいいとこ取りしたような作品。もうこういうライブは拝めないのかなぁ。

「素晴らしい！！」数あるストーズのライブ映像でこの作品が、一番だと思います。スタジアムやアリーナのライブではなく渋公ぐらいの大きさの会場で「ロックンロール＝ストーンズ！」を感じさせる躍動感！ロンとキースが、戦っているように弾くギター！ミックの動き！痺れます。 実は、「レディース＆、、」や「レッツ、、」の有名な映像があるだけに、未発表集的な発売のアナウンスだったので、あまり期待していなかったのですが、観てあまりの素晴らしさ（凄さ）にビックリしました。 「ミス・ユー」「ブラウンシュガー」「ジャンピン〜」が特によかった。

キース（右）とロン（左）のギターが、ギンギンに迫る！弾き倒している。 驚きだ。もしかしたら、ストーンズのライブで一番ギターが鳴っているかも。カッコイイ！ サポートは、スチュ（Ｐ）とマック（Ｋ）だけの、ストーンズのバンドサウンドが炸裂する７８年の蔵出し音源。 ボーナス映像で字幕の入る日本盤ＤＶＤと、やっぱり初回限定のＣＤは絶対手に入れよう！
