1949年5月18日、ロンドン生まれ。 英を代表するプログレ・バンド、イエスのキーボード奏者。 ロイヤル・カレッジ・オブ・ミュージックで音楽理論を学び、その才能をトニー・ヴィスコンティに認められ、彼の手掛けるデヴィッド・ボウイやTレックスのアルバムに参加。
