アメリカ音楽の無形文化財的存在、ランディ･ニューマンの貴重なオーケストラ･ライヴ･パフォーマンスが遂にCD+DVDで発売!

2008年、アルバム『Harps and Angels』のツアー中、ランディ･ニューマンはロンドンにあるLSO St.Lukeで指揮者Robert ZieglerとBBC Concert Orchestraを迎えてライヴを行い、この模様はBBCでも放送された。このライヴが、ついに2011年11月8日、CD+DVDとして発売となる。
London Symphony Orchestraが地域のコミュニティや教育プログラムで使用するために18世紀の教会を改造したLSO St. Lukeで行われたこちらのライヴでは、ランディ･ニューマンの実に40年にも亘るキャリアの中から代表作を中心に22曲を演奏。その中には「Short People」、「Louisiana 1927」、そして「I Think It's Going To Rain Today」の他、「A Few Words in Defense of My Country」、「Laugh and Be Happy」など比較的新しめの曲も含まれている。DVDにはまた、ランディ･ニューマンのインタビュー映像も収録されている。
