One of the most distinctive voices in British folk, Peter Bellamy is joined by the Waterson's, Dave Swarbrick & Louis Killen to explore the richness of traditional music on his 1979 album, Both Sides Then. with the powerful acappella group, the Young Tradition, Peter Bellamy was at the forefront of the 1960s folk revival. He was always passionate about music, from the great English traditional singers, to the prisoners of Parchman Farm and beyond. This, his finest solo album, is a superb integration of his varied musical interests, drawing on English, Irish and Appalachian traditions. Peter Bellamy, who sadly died in 1991, left a remarkable body of work which continues to inspire musicians around the world.
