Kings and Queens is a freaky conflation of dance music, like a 31-flavor ice cream social on a hot summer's day where bongos and subs keep time for a gaggle of face-painters, genies and roller-queens, but it's more about lifestyle than any generic allegiance or retro revivalism. The group has clearly maintained it's labor-of-love approach and penchant for towering stacks of sound, yet Kings and Queens represents a marked sonic departure from The National Trust's last record, Dekaggar (THRILL111, 2002), their debut release.

“元Dolomiteのニール・ロザリオを中心とするナショナル・トラストの2ndアルバム。7人編成で制作された前作『ディッキャガー』のソフトサイケなギターポップ・サウンドから一転、ニールとマーク・ヘニングの2人が残って、いきなり80’S風味の本格志向なR＆Bサウンドに変貌。”以上コピペ。前作(大傑作!!)のラインでもう一枚作って欲しかったあ。
