1944年6月6日ジャマイカのキングストン生まれ。ジャズ・ピアニスト。クラシック・ピアノを学び、ハイスクール入学後はポピュラー系もこなし、間もなくニューヨークへ進出を果たした。MPS、コンコード、テラークなどから多くのリーダー作をリリース。
