1892年7月2日生まれ。 1928年にオーケー・レーベルに13曲を残したものの、その後録音のチャンスには恵まれず、田舎に戻り、農夫として細々と生計をたてながら、ときおり地元のパーティやダンスで演奏する生活を送っていた。 録音から30年以上、彼は行方不明のブルースマンとしてマニアの間では伝説化していたが、 1963年
