とにかく69ものラブソングを集め、作品にしたことに圧倒される。 とおしで聴き続けるのは困難だし、名曲ばかりというわけではないが、 ステファン・メリットの低音ヴォイスをいかしたシンプルなアレンジが 光る曲も多い。ファンなら必携。

Magnetic Fields

1989年、ボストンでスティフィン・メリットのスタジオ・プロジェクトのような形で結成。シンセ・ポップやチェロなどの生楽器を使ったバロック・ポップ、ノイズ・ポップなど、実験的な試みも含めたインディーズ的な音楽活動をスタートした。1991年にシングル「100,000 Fireflies」でデビュー。1999年マージ・レーベル・・・
