商品説明

This is the second solo album by the Os Paralamas do Sucesso's guitarist/composer/vocalist Herbert Vianna. The collaboration with the sound engineer Jerry Napier (Beach Boys, Neil Young, Phil Spector), known for his passion for a straightforward sound uncluttered with electronics, yielded an acoustic album where Vianna accompanies himself at the acoustic guitars. He also exercises some alternative colors in instruments that he grasps superficially, like mandolin and piano. The idea of the album came out through an interview for the rock and pop Chilean radio, where Vianna interpreted Meu Erro alone. The album has an unmistakable Fito Paez tune, the Mercosul touch (Por Siete Vidas), a Clapton/Lane one (Annie), and versions for songs that were included in the Paralamas' repertory after the album (Uns Dias and Polvora). He presents new material here with Luca (for his son) and Round and Round (lyrics in English). Speed Racer was already recorded by Fernanda Abreu. Vianna has the habit of using definite standards for the basis of his compositions. Uns Dias has strong Jimmy Page influences. Tweety is an instrumental ballad purely Pink Floyd-ian. Speed Racer brings Mark Knopfler's accent to the solo. Round and Round has Beach Boys vocals. Not a strong vocalist or a technical guitarist, Vianna intended to create an album with a folk-rock quality that doesn't push the envelope but may appeal to lovers of this style in his broad fan base. ~ Alvaro Neder, Rovi
