This was the only collaborative small group studio LP ever made by the two trumpet stars! As a bonus, we have added the only two alternate takes from the date; a complete session recorded that same year featuring Harry Edison paired with tenor great Coleman Hawkins, and a spirited Newport performance by a Buck Clayton small group also featuring Hawkins.
