A Pleasant Shade of Grey marks a new chapter in the Fates Warning story. Not only is the album one track (clocking in at over 55 minutes), but a couple of new musicians (Ex-Armored Saint bassist Joey Vera and keyboardist Kevin Moore from Dream Theater) were enlisted to help out. The album possesses a huge, atmospheric sound comparable to the likes of Yes or Pink Floyd, thanks to the production of Terry Brown, who is famous for his work with Rush. サイコ・スリラー映画のサントラのような地...

サイコ・スリラー映画のサントラのような地味な名作。いつものFWを踏襲しながら、自分の世界に引きずり込む。目線は内側で、鬱なFWを堪能できる。しかしながら、このバンドは評価が低過ぎです。プログレッシヴ・メタルの名作を多数発表してます。要チェックですぞ。
