UKクロスオーヴァーメタル・バンド、ENGLISH DOGS の80年代のメタル期に発表したEP『To the Ends of the Earth』(84)、LP『Forward into Battle』(85)、EP『Metalmorphosis』(86)、LP『Where Legend Began』(86)の4枚を収録したメタルイヤーズ・アンソロジー。

• 2 Disc Compilation covering "The Metal Years" - an era that saw the band perform a sell-out tour across the USA
• 4 English Dogs releases, including "Metalmorphosis", “Forward Into Battle”, “Where Legend Began” and "To The Ends Of The Earth"
• By this point the band had decided to add ex-Destructors guitarist Graham 'Gizz' Butt who added Metal riffing, guitar leads and contributed to the songwriting.
• This change saw them leave Clay records to sign with Rot Records and release the decidedly metal tinged "To The Ends Of The Earth" EP in September 1984 in advance of Forward into Battle.
