For Eddie is in a class by himself and if he didn't invent the banjo he might as well have! the ever dynamic, Mr. Peabody went on to invent the banjoline - the world's first electric banjo with vibrato attachment and it's distinctively romantic tones can be savored here in: My Blue Heaven; Drifting and Dreaming; Let Me Call You Sweetheart; Always and Roses of Picardy. Eddie's sustained popularity was down to his ability to interpret almost any style from a good old-fashioned shuffle through to some rocking and rolling to beguine and Hawaiian. Although the banjo may make periodic disappearances from musical vogue it is never for too long.
