Recorded in his own, home studio in Nashville, Workshop represented something of a musical departure for Chet Atkins. Instead of the almost traditional country flavor of his earlier albums, this one found him recording in a mix of popular and jazz styling's, and the results were extremely well received, earning Chet a whole new audience. Whilst the album didn't produce any hit singles, it did go on to become the biggest selling album of his career. Hallmark.
