Few guitarists have had more of an impact than Chet Atkins, who was a seminal figure in country and rock 'n' roll. His thumb-and-finger picking style influenced George Harrison, Duane Eddy, the Ventures, Eddie Cochran, Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler, as well as innumerable country pickers. This quintessential release includes two of Chet Atkins' classic albums: The brilliant and seductive TEENSVILLE (1960), where he offers a selection of country and jazz masquerading as rock 'n' roll, plus his third LP SSTRINGIN' ALONG WITH CHET ATKINS (1955). These albums contain great moments from Atkins' hit-making stretch during his most inspired years. They have been remastered and packaged together in this collector's edition, which also contains six bonus tracks from the same period. Several of these splendid recordings feature a virtual who's who of fabulous musicians from the Nashville scene, such as Hank Garland, Bob Moore, Floyd Cramer, and Boots Randolph, among others.
