個人的にはメタル系はあまり聞かないが、Black Sabbathはそういった音楽ジャンルの垣根をも凌駕する音楽性を持っていると思うので、ジャンル的に敬遠している人にもオススメ。

サバス史上最も過激な音と言ってもいいだろう。美しいインスト②からスラッシュ・メタルの原型③への展開は、何度聴いてもゾクゾクさせられる。オジーのヴォーカルもキレまくっていて凄みがある。

2009年にヨーロッパで再発されたアルバムについてです。2009年リマスターを謳っていますが、ぜーんぜん音は良くなっていません。加えて、ジャケットの粗雑な作りに閉口します。愛がない、音が悪い、安っぽい。以上、購入して涙、涙、涙。

英国ロック界に”黒魔術”ブームが起こったのは’60年代後期~’70年代初期のことだった｡一般に知られるところではレッド・ツェッペリンのジミー・ペイジやローリング・ストーンズなどが有名だが、このブラック・サバスも強烈に黒魔術風のイメージを纏ったグループだった。
