A lovely debut album from Yuuko Ishibashi. The songs are quite varied, ranging from folk and world to jazz and neoclassical music. Ishibashi-san wrote the lyrics to tracks 7 & 8 (the jazzy ones). For those who are not familiar with this artist (who performed some songs for Ar-Tonelico), her soprano vocals are among the most beautiful of the Japanese scene. The overall style is quite soft; maybe we could expect something more audacious for her second album? This said, this release is really enjoyable. The album is a bit short, however -only 10 songs apart from the intro. I can’t wait to listen to her next release, because this first album sure sounds promising.
