東京生まれ。ピアニスト・作曲家。18歳でヤマハと契約しアーティスト活動開始、その後独立して渡米。1987年に全米ソロデビューを果たして以来、毎年アメリカでコンサート活動を重ね、ナンバーワン女性インストゥルメンタリストの地位を築く。2000年と2001年、「全米スムースジャズ賞 最優秀女性アーティスト賞
