ティム・バートン監督とのコラボレイトで知られる映画音楽界の新鋭ダニー・エルフマン。1980年代から映画音楽を製作、映画音楽作曲家としてのキャリアは短いものの、躍動感のあるダイナミックなサウンドから、叙情的で控えめなサウンド、さらには、コミカルなものまで、その幅の広さと、実力は、もはや新鋭と呼ぶに値しない、ベテランの風格を感じさせる素晴らしい作曲家です。
