『春の祭典』は全体的にリズムの取り方が自然で流れが心地良かった。 第１部「Jeux des cites rivales」が特に面白く、練習番号59の4小節前で、このように響かせる事も出来るのかと思わずにやっとしてしまった。 『ペトルーシュカ』は名盤です。 細部までよく聴き取れ、新たな発見が多かった。アンチェルの残した録音の中で特に優れたものだろう。

アンチェルの独特な分析が反映された「春の祭典」。楽譜の情報を正確に受け取り、忠実に再現、展開していきます。アンチェルは、ロマン的表現に情熱を注いだカラヤンとは対極をなす存在といえます。しかし、アンチェルが近・現代音楽を得意としていた指揮者であることを考慮すれば、一見、冷徹かと思えるその解釈も十分にうなずけます。近・現代音楽は、論理的な解釈が重要とされやすいからです。アンチェルの「春の祭典」は、そういう点で非常に説得力のある演奏だと思います。管弦楽を巧みに操り、音の偏りがなく、どの音もバランスよく鳴っています。長文となってしまいましたが、結論としては、初めて「春の祭典」を聴く人にはあまりお勧めできないというのが正直なところです。他の録音をいくつか聴いたあとの方が、このアンチェル盤の素晴らしさを理解できると思います。

ハルサイよりペトルーシュカの方がオケの特徴に合っている。アンチェルのモダンな造形はさすがだが、ハルサイでは管の独特の古雅な音がミスマッチの感もある。そこが魅力ともいえ、個人的にはすきなのだが、万人受けするとは思えまい。やや高域が刺激的な録音が気になるが、忘れてはいけない個性的な1枚。
